i hate swalloing pills but i have to take them. I have to take glucosamine tablet and a vitamin b-6 capsule. Can i chew my glucosamine tablet with my food and also can i open apart the b-6 capsule and mix the powder with my food or water?

I have a 10 yr old 60 pound yellow lab with sore joints. I have been using joint supplements (glucosamine) for dogs, and am considering switching to a human supplement for cost reasons. The supplement I’m considering using has more than glucosamine, and I’m wondering if this is safe: 3 tablets (the serving size for humans) contain 300 mg Calcium (as calcium carbonate), 1500 mg Glucosamine HCL, and 170 mg of a "proprietary blend" which includes Ginger Root Extract (Zingiber officinale), Green Tea Leaf Extract (Camellia sinensis) and Enzymes (Bromelain and Papain). Other ingredients include: Microcrystalline celluluse, stearic acid (vegetable), croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, cellulose, glycerin, magnesium stearate (vegetable), and silicon dioxide. The product states that it contains shellfish (crab and shrimp). Is this product safe for dogs? If so, how much should I give?
