I’d suggest she’ll be fine. Actually recent survey on this medication suggests it’s not as good as it’s cracked up to be – in humans. And have you checked on the bag of food your dog is currently having? Most good quality dog food actually contains this as a matter of routine.
She will be fine, no problem.
It won’t hurt a bit! Glucosamine is completely natural, and found in our bones & cartilage, you cannot OD on the stuff. The VERY worse thing that can happen (but won’t, with only one extra pill!) they may get Diarrhea!! After playing hard, I will give my dogs xtra, Glucosamine. Also, MSM, is also great for pain, it is all natural and will not harm your dog in any way. You can get it in the pharmacy usually right next to the Glucosamine. Although the Glucosamine is GREAT for the hips & joints, it doesn’t do much to dull pain, whereas the MSM is amazing on pain!! Hope this helps!!!
Edit, Yes, some dog foods have Glucosamine added, but it is NOT enough, supplements ARE needed especially in arthritic animals!! The stuff is AMAZING, and VERY beneficial!!!
