Is there a way to prevent knee/shoulder pain while sleeping?
It’s been happening for a long time now but I’m convinced its because of the way I sleep. The upper part and the pit (underside) of my knee are constantly sore. If I were to do a squat I can only go down a few inches without it hurting. I do have a desk job where I’m pretty much always on the computer sitting down so that may also be part of the problem.
My shoulders I’m certain though are because of sleep. I almost always sleep on my back now as I did last night. I woke up in the middle of the night as I usually to get some water but my right shoulder was incredibly painful when I moved it. It usually dulls down as the day goes on but it’s very annoying.
I’ve been taking glucosamine tablets for the past 2 weeks or so hoping this would help. I also do 1 hour rigorous kung fu 3 times a week, but I highly doubt this causes the pain as I’ve had it before I started. I’m 23yrs 6′2 145lbs, non smoker non drinker. Is there a certain way to sleep, or would a new pillow/mattess help?
I also do morning and evening joint stretches everyday (rolling around joint caps and such). Not sure if this really helps at all though but I’m gonna keep doing it.

go to a dr. It sounds like you have arthritis. For now though, sleep with a pillow between your legs at your knees. Get treatment NOW, it will only get worse. That stuff you are taking takes weeks and weeks before it works if it works at all. Didn’t for me! go to a dr. good luck
I sleep on Morphine for those symptoms and arthritis. See a Doctor today.
