Is there any way I could get more fluid in my discs?
My doctor says I have degenerative disc disease and that drinking more water won’t help. I am going to try glucosamine – any other suggestions out there? I had a bone density test done (Dexa-Scan), and my densitiy is absolutely great, but that doesn’t mean the discs are good. ![]()
P.S. I have lost 3/4" in height already, and I am told it is all due to my vertebrae discs "losing their cushion".

I have the same condition. This is a very common problem with many
people, especially if they have ever had a bad back injury. Once the discs start losing fluid, there is no way that I know of that you can put
more fluid back into them. In fact, I have had four bad discs removed.
Two were in my neck and two were in my lower back. And losing height is just part of the process. I have lost a little over one-half of an inch myself.
