just curious, ive had to stop drinking diet cokes cause they were depleting calcium and taking it from my bone?
the diet cokes were depleting calcium from my bones, so i cant drink it anymore, i heard caffeine has the same effects, my joints were always cracking, anything else that depletes calcium that i should be aware of, im already taking calcium and vitamin d and glucosamine, chrominium and other stuff. any suggestions, ive stopped drinking it 8 days ago, probably have to do it the rest of my life to not have that happen, right?

Who told you to stop drinking Diet Coke and on what basis? Unless it was a doctor basing his recommendation on bone scans showing loss of bone over time I would question the information. Were you drinking A LOT of Diet Coke? A couple or few a day won’t hurt you, especially if you are taking calcium and D. If you were drinking several a day over a long period of time I can’t imagine that would be good.
Caffeine, to my knowledge, does not deplete calcium. Otherwise the entire country would be breaking bones left and right.
By the way, fruit flavored diet drinks don’t have the phosphoric acid that can deplete calcium. Just check diet drinks for that ingredient.
Wikipedia states that:
Heaney and Rafferty concluded that the net effect of carbonated beverages – including those with caffeine and phosphoric acid – is negligible, and that the skeletal effects of carbonated soft drink consumption are likely due primarily to milk displacement.

In other words, don’t skip your calcium beverages/foods for sodas.
All sodas deplete calcium, as I understand. Don’t know about the caffeine.
Yes, it’s probably for life. Good luck rebuilding your bones.
