She’s a 12 year old collie / black lab / whippet cross breed. Generally in good health but she’s been slowing down for a year or two now, and is often stiff and sometimes struggles to climb on the sofa.

My friend (who is a trained Vet) advised me to use Glucosamine Sulphate, Evening Primrose Oil, and a Multi Vitamin supplement. He also advised me to use the Holland & Barrett versions as they are much cheaper!

The trouble is, I’ve bought the GS in 1000mg tablets, the EPO in 1000mg tablets, but my friend is away for a couple of weeks, so I’m a little bit stuck.

I hope someone out there can help me…..!

also is it okay to eat glucosamine HCl chondrotin sulfate tablets that are made from shellfish?

i take quite a few supplements and recently i’ve been feeling quite low and tired, and i was wondering if perhaps i take too many and i might need to scale it back to give my kidneys/liver/body chance to recover.

I take the following daily

2 Flax-seed Oil Capsules
2 Green Tea
3 Sea Kelp
1 Multi-Vitamin
3 Glucosamine Sulphate
2 Vitamin C
3 Amino Acid Tablets

i also use whey protein after training with 5g of Glutamine powder added (2-3 times a week)

any advice would be greatly appreciated :D

I use Vitamin E oil 30,000IU/Cream,Bio oil,Vitamin C Cream, and Mederma.
Nature Bounty Supplement pills: (2) a day Fish oil 1000mg, (1) Vitamin E-400IU, (1) B-12 2500mg, (2) Acetyl L-Carnitine 400mg, and (4) Glucosamine Chondroition. But I portion out each of the Supplements throughout the day.
Everyday.
I also drink Wheat Grass 3 times a week.
Go to the Gym 4 times a week and Sauna 20mins.
Drink 3-4bottles a day.
Is this too much?
