Hi there,

I have an older German Shepherd/Husky mix, she’s 10 years old, and she’s having a tough time with her back legs, has trouble getting up and down, is really stiff. I know that’s normal, but when I give her things with glucosamine in them, she has a lot less trouble, she very obviously gets around much easier. Her vet even reccomended I give her some. I found this stuff, at 1800 Pet Meds, called "Joint Enhancer". Here’s what it says about the product:

"1-800-PetMeds Joint Enhancer is a natural daily dietary supplement to ease joint pain and improve joint function. Active ingredients 300 mg chondroitin, 250 mg glucosamine, and 2 mg manganese improve flexibility and mobility as a part of the joint rebuilding formula. Joint Enhancer comes in a bone shaped beef & pork flavor tablet dogs love."

For the dog experts–would this be okay to give to give my dog? And if not, do you know of another product I could buy? She’s young at heart but with achy hips. lol

I dont know how old the cat is. He is not a full grown cat,
but he isnt a kitten either. Well first off, I have an older pitbull
who has mild joint problems, so I give him 2-3 tablets
of Glucosamine Chondroitin so his joints could be healthy.
The cat isn’t even mine. I assume he is a street cat. Sometimes,
he comes by so I keep cat food handy just in case he does.
However, latley he has been coming for the whole week. In the
middle of me giving my dog the tablet, I dropped it, and well the cat ate it.
Can anything serious happen to the cat? I bought the tablets from Trader Joe’s
and all the bottle says is"Glucosamine Chondroitin for dogs" it has
warnings, but says nothing about cats. So could it possibly be lethal to
the cat? [sorry for rambling I just dont know what to do]
by the way, I tried to take it from the cat, but he was halfway through it. oh & this is what the bottle says:

Each chewable tablet contains:
Glucosamine Hydrochloride (Shellfish) 250mg
Chrondroitin Sulfate (Bovine) 200mg
Absorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 50mg
Zinc(Oxide) 15mg
Manganese 5mg
Copper 2mg
okay thanks. but the dosage mentioned was for my older pitbull the cat just ate it on accident:(
