What can I do to strengthen my bulldogs back legs – she has bad joints and bones etc and shes only 9 months :(?
Hi, My 9 month old british bulldog has been on anti-inflammatories for her bad legs. She limps every so often. She has been resting recently as advised by the vet. I have been mixing cod liver oil in her meals and have just bought her some glucosamine sulphate tablets and some tinned fish for her dinners which is full of omega 3. Any other ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks

Well, I have a 7 1/2 year old Bulldog myself. She is on Rimadyl and a Glucosamine/MSM supplement because she has Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis. Have your dog x-rayed. Over 80% of Bulldogs are Dysplastic, and yours probably is too.
Go to your vet and see if she has Hip Dysplasia…
If not ask your vet from a medicine call Cosiquin for the leg muscles…
It really helped my dog who was having leg problems as well…
Your best bet is to follow her Doctor’s advise. Make sure she gets a good diet and her meds. If this is starting at 9 months, she and you are in for a bumpy ride. Be careful to not overstress her joints, usually water therapy is good, but again use your vet for her specific problems.
